Craft show set at Riverdale

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale PTO is hosting a craft and vendor show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Riverdale school cafeteria. Admission and parking are free and refreshments will be available. The school is located at 20613 Ohio 37, Mount Blanchard.

Grady Thiel, a son of Josh and Kristi Thiel, has completed the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. Grady comes to the library often with his mom, dad and sister, Savannah.

Park district having Arrowhead Day

BUCYRUS — Arrowhead Day is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 3 at Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 Ohio 598. The Crawford Park District invites guests to come see what other local collectors have found in the fields of Crawford County, as well as other areas. This year's focus will be on the late archaic period, specifically glacial kame burials.

Carter James Stine

Breanna and David Stine, of Upper Sandusky, are the parents of a boy. Carter James Stine was born at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

St. Francis fundraiser

The 2017 calendar raffle fundraiser held by the St. Francis Spirituality Center was a huge success raising funds to help the center with its 2018 programs and retreats, including a local veterans retreat again this fall. Sister Edna Michel (left) of SFSC was presented a matching grant award by Rebecca Shank of Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial during the fundraiser.

Private school scholarship available

SYLVANIA — The Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund is accepting applications for the 2018-19 school year for need-based scholarships for grades kindergarten through eighth worth up to $1,500 for children to use at a nonpublic school or $500 for homeschool expenses.
