First National Bank of Sycamore celebrates expansion project with grand reopening

SYCAMORE — A local bank that has been serving Sycamore area customers for nearly a century hosted an open house for its grand reopening Friday after an expansion project that tripled the space in the building. First National Bank of Sycamore, which has branches in McCutchenville and New Riegel, celebrated the grand reopening with tours, specials and gifts for attendees.

Council on aging thanks for volunteers for sharing time and talent

The Wyandot County Council on Aging recognized its many volunteers during an appreciation luncheon Thursday. Among the volunteers honored were board members Linden Beck, Bonnie DeTray, B.J. Dunn, Bill Clark, Mickey Ekleberry, Judi Harmon, Anna Mae Huntley, Lisa Hawk, Susie Hawk, Neil Kinley, David Naus, Corinne Newell, Robbi Sigler, Sue Stumpp and Rose Ann Weaver.

Honoring their sacrifice

The Wyandot County Veterans Service Commission continued its series of honoring veterans at area nursing facilities on Wednesday with a luncheon at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Bridges

Open Door Resource Center’s Scott Moore presents the second session of Bridges Out of Poverty in Wyandot County on Wednesday after the program came to the county in October. The small group considered stereotypes about poverty and those living in poverty, those in the middle class and wealthy people.
