Tigers edge Rams again in N10 tourney

GALION — No matter what Upper Sandusky shoots, Seneca East seems to be able to do just one or two strokes better. The Tigers took the Northern 10 Athletic Conference tournament championship, and with it, the overall league title with a 328-330 advantage over the Rams Tuesday at Valley View Golf Course.

Wynford denies SE title

BUCYRUS — Wynford denied Seneca East a chance to share the Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls golf championship by taking a 209-212 victory Tuesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. Both teams defeated Galion, which shot a 250, in nonleague play.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — A pair of elite Division III boys soccer teams could not break each others’ defenses in a 0-0 draw between Riverdale and Bluffton on Tuesday night at Riverdale. Opportunities were slim, with the Falcons (4-0-3) taking five shots on goal, and the Pirates (8-1-1) taking just two. Bluffton’s Nick Essinger and Riverdale’s Ethan Shane made five and two saves, respectively.

Bluffton shuts out Upper 3-0

BLUFFTON — Kayla White scored a pair of goals as Bluffton shut out Upper Sandusky 3-0 in a nonconference girls soccer match Tuesday at Bluffton. White scored only 4:31 into the match, but the score stayed 1-0 until 13:28 remained in the match. White converted a direct kick following an Upper Sandusky hand ball just outside the box.

Allen East scores 2 late goals to top Upper 4-2

Allen East converted half of its shots into goals and topped Upper Sandusky 4-2 in a nonconference boys soccer match Tuesday night at Upper Sandusky. The Mustangs (2-3-1) scored a pair of quick goals, one by Braylen Kennedy less than two minutes into the match and another by Malachi Blackma with 32:23 left in the first half, to take a 2-0 lead.

Falcons fall 1 stroke short

HARROD — Andrew Kuenzli medaled with a 37, but Riverdale fell one stroke short against Upper Scioto Valley 187-188 on Tuesday at The Colonial Golfers Club. Curtis Tracy added a 45 for the Falcons (9-11). Ben Riddle shot a 52, and Rease Haley contributed a 54. Trevor Hattery rounded out the lineup with a 55.

Balanced Carey gets sweep

BUCYRUS — Carey had three players with eight or more kills in a 25-19, 25-22, 25-16 victory against Bucyrus on Tuesday night at Bucyrus. McKenzie Row led the way for the Blue Devils (5-7, 4-4 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) with 10 kills, followed by Addi Miller with nine and Alaina Tiell with eight.

Mohawk sweeps Ridgedale

SYCAMORE — Mohawk cruised to a 25-8, 25-19, 25-11 victory against Ridgedale in Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball play Tuesday night at Mohawk. Paityn Clouse led the Warriors (9-3, 6-2 N10) with 10 kills, three aces and a pair of blocks, while Tess Weinandy contributed nine kills. Emma Thiery added seven kills, and Catherine Klopp finished with six kills, along with three blocks.
