A woman in the 200 block of West Wyandot Avenue reported someone knocking on her door early the morning of May 25. It was the woman’s neighbor’s son wanting the Wi-fi password.

Upper Sandusky police are investigating welding machine thefts at a West Guthrie Street business. Representatives from Wannemander Packing on Wednesday afternoon reported two stolen machines valued at more than $2,100, police reports show.

Upper Sandusky firefighters put out an engine fire on a car parked in the Wyandot Memorial Hospital emergency room parking lot Wednesday morning.

HARPSTER — Wyandot County Director of Environmental Health Jeff Ritchey was the featured speaker at the most recent mayors’ breakfast Tuesday morning. Ritchey spoke to the room of elected officials and representatives on the danger of mosquitoes and the diseases they may carry.

KIRBY — An ordinance on barking dogs was put on hold again during a Kirby council meeting Tuesday evening. Clerk-treasurer Darl Snyder told council he and Mayor Tim Stansbery met with village solicitor Richard Grafmiller and Wyandot County Sheriff Mike Hetzel to discuss the most recent version of the ordinance.

BUCYRUS — Wynford community members shared ideas with architect Brent Buehrer on a potential new school building during a meeting Tuesday evening in the Wynford auditorium. Wynford is looking for a solution for replacing aging modulars used to house the district’s junior high students and has taken steps toward putting an issue on the ballot in November for a new junior high and high school building, hiring the Buehrer Group during May’s board meeting.

A Willard woman pleaded guilty to a lesser charge for her part in the burglary of a residence in the 9000 block of TH 18 in Carey. Felisha A. Williams, 23, was found guilty Tuesday of burglary, a third-degree felony.
