Ag fertilizer certification trainings offered in Ohio COLUMBUS — Farmers who apply fertilizer on more than 50 acres are being encouraged to obtain their fertilizer applicator certification before this year’s planting season. 4-H kicks off in Wyandot County Hundreds of people poured into the dining hall at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds on Sunday to celebrate the start of the 2016 4-H season, learn about potential student projects and have pancakes and sausage. The Wyandot County Farm Service Agency is reminding farmers and landowners that the next general enrollment period for the Conservation Reserve Program has started and will end Feb. 26. ODA recognizes 114 historic farms REYNOLDSBURG — In 2015, the Ohio Department of Agriculture recognized 114 new century or bicentennial farms owned by the same family for at least 100 or 200 consecutive years.
