Young Ag Professionals get Farm Bureau grants

COLUMBUS — The Hardin, Hancock, Seneca and Wyandot counties Young Agricultural Professionals earned one of eight $500 grants awarded by the Ohio Farm Bureau’s YAP program. Young Ag Professionals from these four counties will join forces with the Blanchard River Demonstration Farms Network to host a daylong FFA Career Day at the demonstration farms.

FFAs selling strawberries

CAREY — The Wyandot County FFA chapters (Carey, Mohawk, Riverdale and Upper Sandusky) are currently selling fresh strawberries. The proceeds from the sale will be used to conduct and support Wyandot County FFA activities.

Brodman becomes member of AAA

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Hope Brodman, of Carey, is a new junior member of the American Angus Association. Junior members of the association are eligible to register cattle in the American Angus Association, participate in programs conducted by the National Junior Angus Association and take part in association-sponsored shows and other national and regional events.
