Our Lady of Consolation School students recently were named Beatitude Students of the Month for May. They received it for displaying “Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Joshua and Kate Loverich, of Upper Sandusky, are the parents of a boy. Landry Joshua Loverich was born Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

MARION — Recruitment is underway to enroll participants in the next Micro Business Development Program offered by the HHWP Community Action Commission. The program consists of 13 sessions held from 5:45-8:45 p.m. on Thursdays beginning May 31 at the Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce, 123 E. Main Cross St., Findlay. The final session will be Aug. 23.

CAREY — This year at the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, Carey, the Franciscan Friars we will be focusing on the theme of “consolation” at the Shrine. “Consolation” can and will take on many forms.

The Wyandot Tracers OGS will have its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. The speaker for the evening will be Mary Rinehart.

The Click-it-or-Ticket social media awards presentation is 3 p.m. Thursday at the Wyandot County EMS/EMA Building, 401 N. Warpole St., Upper Sandusky. The event will highlight the national campaign that begins May 21.

A recent meeting of Town & Country 4-H was called to order President Colton Breidenbach. Shortly after this, the Pledge of Allegiance and 4-H pledge were led by Sarah Scott and McKenna Rapp. Afterward, Rapp did roll call asked all group members what their favorite animal is.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk Lioness President Jackie Honaker welcomed 59 members and guests to guest night held at the Sycamore Methodist Church. Tail Twister Dawn Riedel led the pledge and gave the thought and prayer.

BUCYRUS — The Crawford Soil and Water Conservation District pond clinic is 5:45-8 p.m. June 6 at the Schroeder pond located at 7042 Crestline Road, Crestline. This is a great opportunity to get pond questions answered on construction, maintenance and upkeep.
