Narconon offers help for drug addictions

Over the last several years drug overdoses have continued to increase. At this point, the Surgeon General has issued a statement for all communities to increase Narcan availability since research shows when communities increase education and availability, the number of overdose deaths decrease.

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Monday and is correct as of that date. Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a male yellow Lab, a white male Shih Tzu, a tri-color male shepherd-pit bull mix, a black male husky-shepherd-Lab, a tan male husky-pit bull, a white and black female bull terrier mix, a neutered male rottweiler, two tan male pit bulls, a white neutered male great Pyrenees and a male husky.

Blanchard Valley Health Service adds latest parkinsonian syndrome detection technology

FINDLAY — Blanchard Valley Health System has added advanced technology that will differentiate between essential tremor and parkinsonian syndromes, among other conditions. DaTscan is a radioactive injection into the patient’s bloodstream to help take pictures of areas of the brain with a special camera called a single-photon emission computed tomography camera.

ODOT deadline for Paint the Plow is Friday

LIMA — The Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 now is accepting applications for this year’s Paint the Plow program through March 15 from high schools and vocational school groups within its eight-county region, including Allen, Defiance, Hancock, Hardin, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert and Wyandot counties.
