Secret Santa shop set to be held Saturday

The Friends of the Library will hold its annual Secret Santa Shop from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. Children can shop from a variety of affordable gifts for family and friends and the items they purchase will be gift-wrapped by volunteers.

HEAP offers assistance with heating costs

FINDLAY — The Hancock Hardin Wyandot Putnam Community Action Commission’s HEAP 2019 Winter Crisis Program began Nov. 1 and continues through March 31 — as long as funds remain available. This program was created to provide financial assistance, one time per heating season, to income eligible households who are threatened with disconnection of their heating source, have service already disconnected, need to establish new service, seek to transfer service or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel.

Bank kicking off its Christmas Cheer project

SYCAMORE — First National Bank of Sycamore once again is kicking off its community project appropriately named Christmas Cheer. In the spirit of Christmas, the bank is collecting monetary donations at each of its full-service locations in Sycamore, McCutchenville and New Riegel, along with its own monetary contributions that in turn will be used to purchase much needed and appreciated items for residents in area nursing homes.
