Grants offered for community programs FINDLAY — The Hancock County Convention and Visitors Bureau once again is offering grant programs in 2019 to support local events. HEAP Winter Crisis Program offers assistance FINDLAY — The Hancock Hardin Wyandot Putnam Community Action Commission’s HEAP 2019 Winter Crisis Program begins Nov. 1 and continues through March 31 — as long as funds remain available. This program was created to provide financial assistance, one time per heating season, to income eligible households who are threatened with disconnection of their heating source, have service already disconnected, need to establish new service, seek to transfer service or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel. Patrol has Lights for Lives operation DEFIANCE — The sixth annual “Lights for Lives” was a successful operation once again, showing what can be accomplished by law enforcement working cooperatively in a multi-agency, multijurisdictional effort.
