MARION — Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost presented Marion Technical College faculty Gregory Perry with the Distinguished Law Enforcement Training Award in a statewide conference this week. “All the good things that make a society healthy and prosperous rest on the foundation of public safety and the men and women who protect the unprotected,” Yost said. “I’m proud to honor these award winners who truly represent the ‘best of the best’ and have exhibited diligence, dedication and sacrifice in the name of public safety.”

Energy Awareness video contest offered to students of all ages for cash prizes

GRANVILLE — Ohio K-12 and college, technical or trade students are invited to participate in the 2019 Ohio Energy Awareness video contest. Sponsored by the Ohio Oil and Gas Energy Education Program, the competition gives students and teachers the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity and energy knowledge during National Energy Awareness Month.

Presbyterian Church hosting benefit concert Sunday

An Evening of Mission and Music is 6 p.m. Oct. 20, 2019, at First Presbyterian Church in Upper Sandusky, 129 W. Johnson St. Preludes start at 6 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m. and attendees are invited afterward for delicious homemade desserts made by volunteers and gourmet coffee donated by Beca House.
