Upper sets program record, ends losing streak against CC

GALION — Upper Sandusky shot a program best score and topped Colonel Crawford 201-212 in Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls golf play Wednesday at Valley View Golf Course.

The Rams (4-0, 3-0 N10) beat the Eagles (1-1, 1-1 N10) for the first time since Aug. 13, 2018, having lost 13 straight against them.

Addie Niederkohr was the medalist on the day with a 46, with Avi Niederkohr shooting a personal-best 48. Jillian Stansbery shot 50, with Rylee Williams completing the team score with a 57.

Alyana Huff (59) and Cece Alspach (62) also played in the varsity lineup. Emma Landversicht and Hayden Guinther both had 61s in junior varsity play.

Sydney Furr paced Colonel Crawford with a 51, followed by Peyton Rowlinson with a 53. Both Rylie Hoepf and Norrie Plank shot 54s.

Laynie Rush (62) and Lilly Appleby (76) also competed.

The Rams compete at 9 a.m. Monday in the Colonial Golfers Club Invitational.
