Upper Sandusky pushed across a run in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 2-1 victory against Ridgedale in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Friday. Both teams scored once in the first inning, but that was all until the sixth.

KENTON — Upper Sandusky’s girls won the championship while the boys were third Friday in the Kenton Relays. The Rams girls scored 92 points to top Bellefontaine by eight points.

DOLA — Riverdale scored five runs in three different innings in a 16-4 victory against Hardin Northern in nonconference baseball action Friday. The Falcons (4-2) jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one inning and scored five more times in the third.

DOLA — Hardin Northern scored in each of its four innings at the plate in a 16-1 victory against Riverdale in a nonconference softball game Friday. The Polar Bears scored four times each in the first and second innings, once in the third and seven times in the fourth inning.

BELLEVUE — Both the weather and Bellevue were tough on Upper Sandusky in a 5-0 victory for the Redmen in a boys tennis match Friday.

VAN BUREN — Carey’s girls swept the relays and ran away with the championship Friday in the Doug Mowery Invitational at Van Buren. The Blue Devils scored 138 points to finish well ahead of runner-up Van Buren with 95 points.

BUCYRUS — As promising as it looked for the Wynford softball team early, the Royals weren't able to maintain a one-run lead as the Colonel Crawford Eagles scored two runs in the sixth inning and one run in the seventh in a 6-4 victory over Wynford on Friday.

Alivia Oney continued her hot start to the season, delivering three more hits at the plate and a win in the pitching circle as Upper Sandusky topped Ridgedale, 10-3, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Friday. Oney doubled, singled twice and drove in a run on offense.

CAREY — Carey senior pitcher Blayc Hacker has never lost to Colonel Crawford. Hacker, who entered Thursday’s softball game with four career wins against the Eagles, tossed a complete game shutout with no runs, two hits, 10 strikeouts and two walks to lead the Blue Devils to a 5-0 victory over the Eagles at Water Works Park.
