Rockets extend win streak

BUCYRUS — Ridgedale won its sixth straight match with a 160-198 victory against Mohawk in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf match Wednesday at New Winchester Golf Course. Grant Park medaled with a 37, while Brock Williams and Jesse Schertzer both shot 40s for the Rockets (7-1, 6-1 N10).

Riverdale 3rd in BVC tri

OTTAWA — Riverdale fell to a pair of opponents, Hopewell-Loudon and Leipsic, in a Blanchard Valley Conference boys golf tri-match Wednesday at Pike Run Golf Club. The Falcons (6-10, 0-6 BVC) finished with a 201, finishing behind the Chieftains (4-2 BVC) with a 183 and the Vikings (3-12, 1-5 BVC) with a 191.

Upper puts 4 players in 50s vs Mohawk

Upper Sandusky put four players in the 50s in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls golf match against Mohawk on Tuesday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. The Rams finished with a 224 while the Warriors were unable to score as a team because one of their four players got sick and could not finish her round.

TIFFIN — Upper Sandusky won its 10th match of the season and stayed undefeated with a 166-221 victory against Mohawk in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf match Tuesday at Seneca Hills Golf Club. Brett Montgomery paced the Rams (10-0, 5-0 N10) with a 1-under-par 34 that included birdies on Nos. 1, 6, 8 and 9.

Van Buren shuts out Upper

Van Buren began girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association play with a 4-0 victory against Upper Sandusky on Tuesday. The Black Knights (2-1-1, 1-0 NCOSA) scored three times in the first half and once in the second half.

Mohawk has 24 aces in win

BUCYRUS — Mohawk aced Bucyrus 24 times on the way to an easy 25-10, 25-10, 25-11 victory against Bucyrus in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday at Bucyrus. Kaylee Ward led the Warriors (6-1, 3-1 N10) with seven aces, followed by Madi Chester and Alexa Konkle with five each.

McCarthy’s 4 goals enough for Galion to edge Upper

GALION — Devin McCarthy’s four goals were just enough for Galion to take a 4-3 victory against Upper Sandusky in a nonconference boys soccer match Tuesday in Galion. McCarthy scored three times unassisted in the first half — at the 38:44, 25:09 and 18:51 marks — to help the Tigers (1-1-1) take a 3-0 lead.

Ridgedale gets key N10 win

BUCYRUS — Ridgedale stayed in Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf title contention with a 167-174 victory against Carey on Monday at New Winchester Golf Course. Brock Williams medaled and led the Rockets (6-1, 5-1 N10) with a 38, followed by Grant Park with a 39.
