The Riverdale white team are the Hancock County Junior Pony League 2018 B Tournament Champions after a 6-3 victory over the Dunkirk Bears June 27 at Gormley Park in Forest.

CAREY — Whether Easton Roark and his father, Carey High School baseball coach Joey Roark, were watching a college baseball game, the College World Series, a Major League Baseball game or Easton was playing baseball, each game had a teaching moment.

The Northern Ohio Storm 8u tournament baseball team will be having tryouts for fall 2018 season from 10 a.m. to noon July 14 at Tiffin University's softball field (Paradiso Athletic Complex 2375 W. County Road 26). This team will be playing in the Huron Fall League starting in mid August.

COLUMBUS – Special Olympics is about more than winning but Wyandot County did plenty of it anyway this weekend in the Summer Games in Columbus. The Indians came away with their best medal showing in many years, finishing with 12 golds, 10 silvers and four bronzes.
