KENTON — Wynford’s Logen Sand shot a 90 to finish in 10th place Thursday in the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament at Veteran’s Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton. Sand shot a 46 on the front nine, followed by a 44 on the back nine. He scored a birdie on No. 7.

Bookie’s Lawn Service won the Junior League fastpitch softball tournament championship with a 10-6 victory against The Andersons at Harrison Smith Park, rallying from a 6-5 deficit with five runs in its final two at-bats.

Upper Sandusky High School is searching for a person to line the athletic fields for the 2018-19 school year. This is a paid position and no experience is necessary.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Athletic Boosters will hold its fourth annual Reverse Raffle on Aug. 4 at the Sycamore Community Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Single raffle tickets are $100 and couples raffle tickets are $110.

Upper Sandusky High School will host a fall sports parent meeting at 7 p.m. July 23 in the USHS gym. Parents of all fall sports athletes except golf are expected to attend.

Mighty Ram Camp is a series of nutrition and fitness programs that starts June 5 for students entering kindergarten through fifth grade and their parents. The camp will be held on six Tuesdays in June and July from 5-6 p.m. at the Upper Sandusky High School practice field (behind the baseball ball field).

In what is believed to be the first time ever, a member of the Wyandot County Midget Football League in Upper Sandusky has competed in the DI Savage Regional All Star game.
