Note: These results inadvertently were left out of last week’s paper. BUCYRUS — Wynford moved to 8-0 in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference with a 197-209 victory against Seneca East in girls golf play Thursday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus.

Since 2013, the Upper Sandusky football team had not won its first two games. But a 33-point first half — a half in which the Rams only needed one play to score two separate times — coupled with a shutout on defense ensured the Rams would be off to their best start in five years.

DOLA — A four-touchdown night from Justyn Scott led his Riverdale Falcons to a dominant 45-19 win over Hardin Northern in Friday night’s non-conference contest. The win is the Falcons’ first of the season, giving them a mark of 1-1. The Polar Bears, who opened the season with a win, fall to 1-1.

BASCOM — Zach Hayman helped Mohawk get a lead. The offensive line and running game helped the Warriors keep it. Hayman had two interceptions and a 98-yard touchdown catch in the first half alone, and then the experienced offensive line went to work as the Warriors racked up 311 rushing yards in a 34-14 victory against Hopewell-Loudon Friday night in Bascom.

CAREY — Despite early mistakes, the Carey Blue Devils made the Galion Tigers earn their stripes during a non-conference game at Wentling Field on Friday night. The Tigers (2-0) fought off a second-half surge to claim victory, 35-26.

MILAN — Edison rushed for 275 yards and knocked off Wynford, 27-14, in a nonconference football game Friday night. The Royals (1-1) led 7-6 at halftime but the Chargers (2-0) took control with a pair of third-quarter Cas Mastropaolo touchdown runs.

SYCAMORE — It’s a combination that has worked well for the Mohawk volleyball team this season — junior Alexa Konkle as the setter and senior Madi Chester as the outside hitter — and Thursday was no exception. Konkle recorded 33 assists, five digs, two kills, two blocks and two aces, and Chester, the Northern 10 Athletic Conference’s leader in kills, led the Warriors with 15 kills as the Warriors won a three-set match, 25-12, 25-14, 25-19, over Carey on Thursday at Mohawk.

Alivia Oney had a hat trick as Upper Sandusky snapped a three-match losing streak with a 5-0 shutout victory against Tiffin Columbian on Thursday. Oney also assisted on the match’s opening goal, the first in the career of Riley Messersmith, which came six minutes into the match.

Upper Sandusky rolled in singles matches and took its second straight girls tennis victory with a 4-1 defeat of Fostoria on Thursday. Jodi Smalley evened her record at No. 1 singles to 3-3 without surrendering a game in a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Jennaleigh McCumber.

TIFFIN — Alli Stahl shot a 42 to lead Buckeye Central to a 203-250 victory against Mohawk in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls golf match Thursday at Seneca Hills Golf Club. Alayna Kindle led the Warriors (1-6, 1-4 N10) with a 50, while Carlee Hummel shot a 63, Emmah Danner had a 66, and Kaidan Mathias finished with a 71.
