Kuenzli has 3 birdies as Falcons defeat Bulldogs

GALION — Andrew Kuenzli shot a 1-under-par 35 to earn medalist honors and lead Riverdale to a 187-215 victory against Crestline in a non-conference boys golf match Wednesday at Valley View Golf Course. A state qualifier a year ago as a freshman, Kuenzli finished with three birdies and five pars on the day.

Hipsher leads USV to win

KENTON — Brady Hipsher carded a 39 and earned medalist honors to lead the Upper Scioto Valley golf team to a 183-212 victory against Riverdale on Tuesday at Veteran’s Memorial Park Golf Course. Tyler Gratz added a 47 for the Rams (2-0). Dylan Thompson recorded a 48 and Jared Hunt scored a 49.

Wynford suffers 1st losses

WILLARD — Wynford lost to both Huron and Willard in a non-conference girls golf tri-match Wednesday at Willard Golf Club. Huron won, 192-216, over Willard, with the Royals (5-2) recording a 232 while recording their first losses of the year.

Seneca East defeats Upper

TIFFIN — Led by Alivia Lucius’ 49, Seneca East defeated Upper Sandusky, 212-249, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls golf match Wednesday at Clinton Heights Golf Course. Katie Clark shot a 59 to lead the Rams (1-3, 1-3 N10). Kendra Conley finished with a 61, Katie Conley shot a 63, and Grace Sayre scored a 66.

Sand lifts Royals past Redmen

BUCYRUS — Logen Sand shot a 42 to lead Wynford to a 179-201 victory against rival Bucyrus to open Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf play Tuesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. Kyle Koons and Kayleb Keaton both had 46s, and Aden Caldwell finished with a 51 for the Royals (1-0, 1-0 N10).

GALION — Ethan Tanner medaled with a 46 to lead Carey to a 194-225 victory against Colonel Crawford to open the Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf season. Dylan Grothaus shot a 48, and McKain Miller and Carter Frederick both had 50s for the Blue Devils (2-0, 1-0 N10).

GALION — The Upper Sandusky girls golf program picked up its first-ever victory and avenged a loss last week against Colonel Crawford with a 245-266 victory Monday at Valley View Golf Course. Katie Clark earned medalist honors with a 59 for the Rams (1-2, 1-2 Northern 10 Athletic Conference).

BUCYRUS — The Wynford girls golf team improved to 5-0 with a 207-232 victory against Elgin on Tuesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. Caity Schiefer medaled with a 49, with Emily Rudd (51) and Abby Underwood (52) right behind. Gabby Johnson rounded out scoring with a 55.
