SYCAMORE — The Mohawk volleyball team picked up a quality nonconference victory by beating Galion, 25-19, 20-25, 25-20, 25-12, on Monday night. Madi Chester led the way for the Warriors (3-1) with 18 kills, 14 digs and five blocks. Kaylee Ward had 12 kills, 12 digs and three aces.

ELMORE — Woodmore’s Sidney Wank scored with 4:13 remaining and Riverdale settled for a 2-2 draw in a nonconference girls soccer match Monday in Elmore. The Falcons (3-1-1) took an early lead on a Hannah Breidenbach goal only 3:44 into the match.

Upper Sandusky knocked off another one of its top competitors in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference, beating Seneca East, 174-180, in a boys golf match Monday at Lincoln Hills Golf Course.

The Upper Sandusky girls tennis team picked up its first victory of the season with a 4-1 victory against Buckeye Valley on Monday. The Rams (1-4) swept doubles competition.

NEW WASHINGTON — Five of Buckeye Central’s six players shot in the 50s in a 214-249 victory against Upper Sandusky in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls golf match Monday at Cranberry Hills Golf Course. Elizabeth Heydinger paved the way for the Buckettes (5-0, 5-0 N10) with a 51 to earn medalist honors.

NEW RIEGEL — McKenzie Row had 14 kills, 11 digs and three aces, but it was not enough as Carey remained winless with a 17-25, 25-20, 25-13, 25-17 loss to New Riegel on Monday night. Sadie Arend had six kills and five blocks, while Alaina Tiell finished with five kills.

KENTON — Hayden Hicks scored four goals as Kenton ran away with a 9-0 victory against Upper Sandusky in a nonconference boys soccer match Saturday night.

Four different players scored as Kenton defeated Upper Sandusky, 4-0, in a nonconference girls soccer match Saturday night. Lauren Bartlett scored the first half’s only goal with 14:51 left.

NORTH ROBINSON — Carey freshman Sarah Reinhart won the girls individual title, while both the Upper Sandusky girls and boys cross country teams took third place Saturday in the Colonel Crawford Early Bird Invitational. Reinhart finished in 21:14.06, easily outpacing runner-up Allison Farson of Elgin, who finished in 21:28.66.

CONTINENTAL — Riverdale dominated possession and shots on goal and edged Continental, 4-3, in a nonconference girls soccer match Saturday at Continental. The Pirates (1-1) and Alex Hoeffel made the most of only four shots on goal, scoring three times, but it was not quite enough.
