Nash relished chance to coach daughter

CAREY — Coincidentally, the same year that Amber Nash was going to be a freshman on the CHS girls track team, her mother, Tricia Nash, was given an opportunity she didn’t anticipate, but was grateful to receive. Tricia Nash helped with the hurdlers, sprinters and sprint relays as a volunteer coach of the CHS girls track team for seven years, beginning in 2007, a time when her niece and her cousin’s daughter were both running the hurdles for the Blue Devils.

Wynford’s Sand 10th in Kenton

Logen Sand

KENTON — Wynford’s Logen Sand shot a 90 to finish in 10th place Thursday in the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament at Veteran’s Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton. Sand shot a 46 on the front nine, followed by a 44 on the back nine. He scored a birdie on No. 7.

Seneca East to have golf outing

ATTICA — The Seneca East Lady Tigers basketball team is hosting its first annual golf outing July 22 at Clinton Heights Golf Course with a shotgun start beginning at 9 a.m. Interested four-person teams can email Jarron Reesman at reesmanjj@gmail.com or Don Vogt at dvogt@se-tigers.com.

Mighty Ram camp

Mighty Ram Camp is a series of nutrition and fitness programs that starts June 5 for students entering kindergarten through fifth grade and their parents. The camp will be held on six Tuesdays in June and July from 5-6 p.m. at the Upper Sandusky High School practice field (behind the baseball ball field).
