Grothaus leads Carey to tri-match win

CAREY — Dylan Grothaus shot a 41 to lead Carey to a one-stroke victory against Hopewell-Loudon and also a Northern 10 Conference victory against Bucyrus in a boys golf tri-match Thursday at Bob’s Countryside Golf Course. The Blue Devils (6-3, 4-2 N10) edged the Chieftains, 176-177, with the Redmen finishing with a 214.

Riverdale gets win over Waynesfield-Goshen

ARLINGTON — Andrew Kuenzli shot a 40 to lead Riverdale to a 200-206 victory against Waynesfield-Goshen in a nonconference boys golf match Thursday at Sycamore Springs Golf Course. Curtis Tracy backed Kuenzli with a 48 for the Falcons (7-10). Jacob Tackett and Rease Haley both shot 56s.

Upper Sandusky picked up two more Northern 10 Athletic Conference wins by beating both Wynford and Bucyrus in a boys golf tri-match Wednesday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. The Rams shot a 166 to finish well ahead of the Royals with a 191 and the Redmen with a 203.

Rockets extend win streak

BUCYRUS — Ridgedale won its sixth straight match with a 160-198 victory against Mohawk in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf match Wednesday at New Winchester Golf Course. Grant Park medaled with a 37, while Brock Williams and Jesse Schertzer both shot 40s for the Rockets (7-1, 6-1 N10).

Riverdale 3rd in BVC tri

OTTAWA — Riverdale fell to a pair of opponents, Hopewell-Loudon and Leipsic, in a Blanchard Valley Conference boys golf tri-match Wednesday at Pike Run Golf Club. The Falcons (6-10, 0-6 BVC) finished with a 201, finishing behind the Chieftains (4-2 BVC) with a 183 and the Vikings (3-12, 1-5 BVC) with a 191.

Upper puts 4 players in 50s vs Mohawk

Upper Sandusky put four players in the 50s in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls golf match against Mohawk on Tuesday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. The Rams finished with a 224 while the Warriors were unable to score as a team because one of their four players got sick and could not finish her round.

TIFFIN — Upper Sandusky won its 10th match of the season and stayed undefeated with a 166-221 victory against Mohawk in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf match Tuesday at Seneca Hills Golf Club. Brett Montgomery paced the Rams (10-0, 5-0 N10) with a 1-under-par 34 that included birdies on Nos. 1, 6, 8 and 9.
