BUCYRUS — Wynford High School will host its fifth annual alumni reunion Oct. 19 for the Royals’ homecoming game against Mohawk. All former football players who graduated from Wynford are invited.

TIFFIN — The Tiffin Zombie Run 5K run and walk fundraiser is Oct. 20 at Rock Creek Trail near Heidelberg University, 310 E. Market St., Tiffin. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the race starts at 10 a.m.

Jaidyn Thiel scored three goals to lead Upper Sandusky to a 5-2 boys soccer victory against Tiffin Columbian on Tuesday. Thiel opened scoring only 1:35 into the match. After Xavier Coppus tied the match at 1 with a penalty kick goal, Ross Swinehart scored following a throw-in from Caleb Healea, making it 2-1 with 28:47 left in the first half.

ROUNDHEAD — Juleigha Collier was the runner-up to lead Riverdale’s girls to second place in the Hardin County Meet on Tuesday at the Bryan Putnam Memorial Wetlands near Roundhead. Collier finished in 22:10, with sister Kendra Collier finishing third in 22:15.

Since 2012, the Mohawk volleyball team had not won a league title. But moments after Kaylee Ward’s kill gave the Warriors a nine-point third set victory, the Warriors clinched at least a share of the of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference title with a 25-12, 25-15, 25-16 victory over Upper Sandusky on Tuesday at Upper Sandusky High School.

BUCYRUS — Seneca East continued its recent hot play with a 25-13, 25-16, 25-13 victory against Wynford in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday night. The Tigers (13-8, 12-4 N10) have won nine of their last 10 matches after starting the year 4-7.

ADA — Upper Sandusky closed out its regular season with a 2-0 victory against Ada in girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association play Tuesday. Alivia Oney set up Taylor Norris with a pass to the top of the penalty area with 26:38 left in the first half.

CAREY — Carey dropped the opening set but won the next three comfortably in a 20-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-13 victory against Ridgedale in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play Tuesday night. McKenzie Row led the Blue Devils (9-11, 8-7 N10) with 13 kills and 17 digs, while Sadie Arend was strong all-around with eight kills, eight digs and four aces.

SWANTON — Swanton rallied from an early mistake to take a 3-1 victory against Riverdale in a nonconference girls soccer match Monday. The Bulldogs (6-5-4) gave up an own goal with 27:37 remaining in the first half, but tied the game four minutes later on a Bridget Harlett goal.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Hope Kreais had 12 kills to lead Hopewell-Loudon to a 25-22, 25-14, 25-17 victory against Riverdale in a Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball match Monday. Peyton Hoover added nine kills and Olivia Savidge seven kills and three aces for the Chieftains (10-12, 5-6 BVC).
