Upper wins tri-meet

Upper Sandusky’s girls and boys were winners in a track and field tri-meet Monday at Upper Sandusky. The Rams girls topped Mohawk 73.5-54.5, with Bucyrus scoring 28 points. Upper Sandusky’s boys scored 73 points, with Bucyrus beating Mohawk 49-45.

Mullholand throws no-hitter, hits home run in Carey victory

MORRAL — Bridget Mullholand threw a no-hitter and drilled three hits including a home run at the plate to lead Carey to a 12-1 victory against Ridgedale in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Monday at Ridgedale. Mullholand (11-2) walked two and gave up an unearned run in the first inning. She finished with nine strikeouts in the five-inning game.

Rockets rally with 4 runs in 7th inning

MORRAL — Ridgedale scored four times in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally past Carey 5-4 in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Monday at Ridgedale. Trailing 4-1, the Rockets (11-6, 6-6 N10) had a single, a walk and a single to load the bases with one out. A fielder’s choice allowed one run to score but also was the second out.

Devils win tri-meet with Rockets, Royals

MORRAL — Carey’s girls and boys were first and Wynford’s teams were second in a track and field tri-meet Monday at Ridgedale. Carey’s girls topped Wynford 66-53, with Ridgedale scoring 38 points. The Blue Devils boys scored 68 points, with the Royals topping the Rockets 49-41.

Riverdale scores 7 in 4th inning of 10-1 win

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Trailing by a run heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, the Riverdale softball team scored seven runs and added three more in the fifth in a 10-1 victory over Leipsic on Monday at Riverdale. The game was called with two outs in the bottom of the fifth due to rain.

Carey boys win pair of relays at L-B

FINDLAY — Carey’s boys won a pair of relay events while Carey’s girls used depth to take sixth place overall in the Pat Wagner Invitational on Saturday at Liberty-Benton. Andrew Bell, Austin Hertel, Griffin Summit and Bryce Conti were first in the 800 relay in 1:34.48 and first in the 1600 relay in 3:33.56.

Rams place 6th in doubles tourney

FREMONT — The Upper Sandusky boys tennis team finished sixth of eight teams against tough competition in the Fremont Ross Little Giants Doubles Tournament on Saturday. All four doubles teams for the Rams went 1-2 in the tournament, led by the No. 2 doubles team, which won its opening-round match and then lost the next two to take fourth place. The three others teams also took sixth, winning their middle matches.
