Upper Sandusky committed six errors and suffered its first loss of the season 8-1 in a nonconference baseball game Monday at Upper Sandusky.

Alexis Fogle hit a two-run double during a three-run fifth inning, and Upper Sandusky held on in the seventh inning to beat River Valley 4-2 in a nonconference softball game Monday at Upper Sandusky. With the Rams (3-3) leading 1-0 after a run in the first inning, Jenna Rodriguez had an RBI single in the fifth.

SYCAMORE — MaKenna Hurley threw a two-hit shutout as Mohawk coasted to a 10-0 victory in five innings against Buckeye Central in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Monday in Sycamore. Hurley (2-0) walked four and struck out seven.

CAREY — Carey’s girls were a winner in a tri-meet Monday at Carey, scoring 86 points, followed by Bucyrus with 47 points and Buckeye Central with 37 points. The Redmen won the boys competition over the Blue Devils 102-51, with the Bucks tallying 21 points.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Freshman Alison Donaugh had four hits and five RBIs to lead the Riverdale softball team to its third straight run-rule victory, 14-0 against Vanlue on Monday at Riverdale. Donaugh had a pair of triples among her hits and also picked up the pitching win.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — With five singles Monday, Andrew Kuenzli has connected for hits in nine consecutive at-bats. He scored five times and drove in six runs as Riverdale blasted Vanlue 22-0 in five innings in a Blanchard Valley Conference baseball game at Riverdale.

NORTH ROBINSON — Hailey Niederkohr had three extra-base hits as Carey run-ruled Colonel Crawford 11-0 in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Monday at Colonel Crawford. Niederkohr doubled twice and tripled once as Carey (3-1, 2-0 N10) used a six-run fourth inning to pull away. She scored twice and drove in a run.

NORTH ROBINSON — Drayton Burkhart struck out 11, and Colonel Crawford took advantage of five Carey errors in an 8-2 victory in Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball play Monday. Only one of the eight runs the Blue Devils (1-3, 0-2 N10) surrendered was earned. Reece Mullholand (0-2) took the loss.

BUCYRUS — Wynford’s four-run third inning was plenty of support for Noah Smith as the Royals took a 7-3 victory against Bucyrus in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Monday at Bucyrus. Smith (2-0) gave up just four hits and two walks while striking out eight in a complete game for the Royals (3-2, 2-0 N10).

BUCYRUS — Caleigh Rister threw a one-hitter and contributed three hits at the plate as Bucyrus topped Wynford 13-0 in five innings in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Monday at Bucyrus. The Redmen (3-3, 2-0 N10) blew open the game with a 10-run third inning.
