Riverdale advances to regionals in 4 events FINDLAY — Riverdale qualified for regionals in four events and just missed with fifth-place finishes nine times in the Division III district meet Saturday at Findlay. The Falcons girls 3200 relay team of Kendra Collier, Makena Barnes, Juleigha Collier and Paige Rothlisberger qualified for regionals with a fourth-place district finish in 10:53.43 on the first day of the meet Thursday, and Tayler Ashburn also qualified that day by taking second in the high jump at 5-0. Ashburn qualified Saturday in the long jump by finishing fourth at 15-1.5, and Eli Weber had a third-place finish in 4:44.23 in the 1600 run. Read More

Mohawk completes win, then picks up 2nd victory KANSAS — Mohawk won in dramatic fashion twice Saturday, completing an 11-10 victory in nine innings and then scoring twice in the seventh inning to beat Lakota 3-2 in nonconference baseball action. The Warriors (18-6) and Raiders began the first game May 2 at Mohawk with the game stopped because of darkness tied at 10 after eight innings. The game, scheduled to be played at Lakota, was moved to Mohawk because of wet field conditions. Read More
Carey tops Seneca East ATTICA — Already leading by two runs, the Carey softball team scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull away for a 6-1 victory over Seneca East on Saturday at Seneca East. Falcons finish 13-7 with victory over Red Devils ARLINGTON — A year after they finished without a win, the Riverdale softball team concluded their 2019 season with their 13th victory, a 12-1 run-rule victory over Arlington on Saturday at Arlington.
