SYCAMORE — How patient was the Mohawk baseball team at the plate? The Warriors drew 10 walks, including two with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth, in their 6-1 victory over Wynford on Monday at Mohawk. “We talked about it,” Mohawk coach Eric Hoover said.

Tigers give Rams 1st N10 loss

ATTICA — Rickie Lacy gave up a first-inning run but shut down Upper Sandusky after that, handing the Rams their first Northern 10 Athletic Conference loss of the year, 2-1, on Monday at Seneca East. Lacy (2-2) gave up an unearned run in the first inning. Parker Frombaugh reached on an error and scored on a Ben Sheaffer double.

Upper holds on

ATTICA — Jillian Allgyre’s grand slam in the fifth inning was not quite enough to rally Seneca East, as Upper Sandusky held on for a 7-5 victory in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Monday at Seneca East. The Rams (12-5, 9-1 N10) led 6-1 after a four-run fourth inning but the Tigers (7-8, 4-7 N10) got to within one.

Knights win 13-1

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Van Buren had huge first and second innings and took a run-rule victory against Riverdale, 13-1, in Blanchard Valley Conference softball action Monday at Riverdale. The Black Knights (9-3, 6-2 BVC) took a 4-1 lead after one inning and then scored seven times in the second inning.
