Damron leads Rams to 1st win

MORRAL — Tori Damron smashed 14 kills to lead the Upper Sandusky volleyball team to its first victory of the season, 26-24, 19-25, 25-11, 25-22, on Tuesday evening. Damron was 25-of-28 hitting.

Royals’ rally against Eagles comes up short

NORTH ROBINSON — After falling behind 2-0, Wynford rallied to force a fifth set but fell, 25-22, 25-13, 15-25, 23-25, 15-7, at Colonel Crawford on Tuesday night. Tara Zinser led the Royals (2-3, 2-1 N10) at the net with nine kills on 22-of-23 hitting, while Gabby Grove finished with seven kills on 20-of-24 hitting and was 24-of-25 serving with two aces.

Senior citizens night at match set for Sept. 27

Sept. 27 is Senior Citizen Night as Upper Sandusky High School hosts Ridgedale in junior varsity and varsity volleyball action. All senior citizens will receive free admission to both matches and a coupon for a free drink and popcorn from the concession stand.

Champs at Holgate

The Little Rams and Upper Sandusky Middle School competition squads both placed first at Holgate High School. The Little Rams also took grand champions with the highest score among 33 teams.
