Rams rout Warriors, clinch N10 title

The Upper Sandusky boys basketball team is champion of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference for the second straight year, and on Saturday night, the Rams looked like the No. 2 team in the state. Mohawk was rattled into 20 first-half turnovers and 29 overall as Upper Sandusky ran away with an 80-44 victory.

Royals roll past Tigers

BUCYRUS — Wynford rode a hot shooting start to a wire-to-wire, 74-44 victory over Seneca East in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys basketball game Saturday. Jack Reed led all scorers with 18 points, and Zach Hoffman hit five 3-pointers and scored 17 points.

Upper gets No. 2 seed in district tournament

Upper Sandusky earned the No. 2 seed in its Division II Ohio Northern University district and a bye into the sectional finals during draws held Sunday. No. 5 seed Lima Shawnee (11-8) and No. 8 Kenton (11-8) play at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 28 at Lima Senior for the right to face the Rams (20-0) at 6:15 p.m. March 3.

Riverdale offense struggles

BLUFFTON — Bluffton pulled through on a night when both it and Riverdale struggled on offense, taking a 45-32 victory on Saturday night. The Pirates (10-9) and Falcons (4-16) combined to shoot 31.3 percent from the field, including just 4 of 37 (10.8 percent) on 3-pointers.

Rams prep for N10 tourney

CALEDONIA — Without most of their top wrestlers, Upper Sandusky fell in duals to River Valley, 67-6; and to Northmor, 55-18, on Saturday morning at River Valley. Garrett Thomas had the Rams’ only victory against the Vikings with a second-period pin at 126 pounds.
