Mohawk selling raffle tickets

SYCAMORE — Tickets are on sale for the Mohawk reverse raffle to be held Aug. 19 at the Sycamore Community Center. The raffle’s grand prize is as much as $8,000 with a total payout of as much as $12,000.

Scarlet & Gray advances with 2 wins in TBT

PEORIA, Ill. — Led by Jon Diebler’s 21 points, Scarlet & Gray advanced to the Midwest regional semifinals in The Basketball Tournament with a 72-58 victory against Banner Boys on Sunday at Bradley University. Scarlet & Gray’s 10-0 run to start the game gave it control throughout in the second-round contest.

Gerlach 7th in Galion HOJGA tournament

GALION — Wynford’s Annika Gerlach shot an 89 to finish seventh Wednesday in the 16-18 division of the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament at Sycamore Creek Golf Course. Gerlach made five pars, scoring a 43 on the front nine and a 46 on the back.
