A caller from the 100 block of Balliett Street, Nevada, reported the evening of Feb. 10 that a known subject was texting her daughter and threatening to burn down her residence. Chad J. Howard, Carey, was arrested the evening of Feb. 10 on an indictment warrant from Wyandot County Common Pleas Court for two courts of trafficking in heroin.

A man and a woman came on-station the morning of Feb. 10 to report that a woman was harassing them and making threats.

Sheriff Michael R. Hetzel has released his activity report for the month of December:

Heather Fulk, Rising Sun, was cited for failure to control after a caller reported a car in the field at the corner of CH 106 north CH 16 the morning of Feb. 5. Michael Tuner, Columbus, was transported from the Wyandot County Jail to Correctional Reception Center, Orient, the morning of Feb. 5.

A report of trespassing was received from the Triangle Motorcycle Club, CH 71 in rural Harpster the evening of Feb. 2. A deputy made contact with two individuals, who stated they were hunting and showed permission forms signed by a former club president.

Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office A caller in the 7000 block of CH 134 reported he found a license plate in the yard in front of his residence the afternoon of Feb. 2.

A caller reported a vehicle was parked in a prohibited area in the Carey wildlife area on CH 97 the afternoon of Jan. 27. The owner of the vehicle could not be located and it was photographed. An Ohio Department of Natural Resources wildlife officer told a deputy he would follow up on the call.

Garry L. Pasco, Nevada, was traveling west on Ohio 103 about 1/2 mile east of Sycamore, when he struck a deer that entered the roadway. The 2004 GMC TK he was driving did not appear damaged.

Bo D. Wright, Carey, was cited for failure to yield the afternoon of Jan. 22 following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 23 and CH 97 in Crawford Township. Wright was traveling southbound on CH 97 when he pulled into the path of and was struck by a truck driven by Shanna J. Lawson, Portland, Tennessee. No injuries were reported.

A caller in the 18000 block of Ohio 231 reported the evening of Jan. 22 her husband came home drunk and was destroying their house. The man was asleep by the time deputies arrived and everything was OK.
