Safety Blotter: March 12, 2016

Nathaniel B. Theobald, Gahanna, was northbound on Ohio 53 near CH 42 the morning of Feb. 25 when he lost control of the tractor-trailer he was driving on snow- and ice-covered pavement. He jack-knifed and drove off the right side of the roadway with the semi tractor coming to rest in the field and the trailer blocking both lanes of the roadway.

Todd S. Petrie, Shelby, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and cited for failure to move over or slow down for an emergency vehicle stopped on the road and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle following a traffic stop the evening of Feb. 20 on U.S. 23 near CH 218.

A resident of the 10000 block of TH 103 reported an unruly juvenile the morning of Feb. 20. David A. Wehr II, Toledo, was arrested for driving under suspension and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop the afternoon of Feb. 20 on East Saffel Avenue, Sycamore.

Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office Olivia C. Kearns, Kenton, was cited for expired registration, driving under suspension and a seatbelt violation following a traffic stop the morning of Feb. 20 on CH 47 near Ohio 53.

A caller in the 7000 block of CH 107 reported the afternoon of Feb. 19 the driver of a yellow sports car kept stopping in front of his residence. A deputy to the caller he would patrol the area in an effort to locate the vehicle.

Safety Blotter: February 26, 2016

Charlie L. Baker, Tiffin, was arrested at the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office the morning of Feb. 16 on an indictment warrant for one count of trafficking marijuana. The indictment was a result of an investigation by the sheriff’s office and the METRICH Enforcement Unit.

Garrett L. Vogel, Carey, was arrested the morning of Feb. 11 for one count of trafficking in cocaine with a juvenile specification, a fourth-degree felony. The indictment was a result of an investigation by the sheriff’s office and the METRICH Enforcement Unit.
