Sheriff’s office assists

Dean B. Rose, Tiffin, was transported by Upper Sandusky Emergency Medical Services to Wyandot Memorial Hospital with incapacitating injuries following a motorcycle crash on CH 4 just west of Ohio 53 early the morning of Aug. 1.

Safety Blotter: September 22, 2016

Shawn M. Morris and O’Neal Marshall, both of Mansfield, were warned for slow speed at the intersection of U.S. 23 and Ohio 53 the night of Aug. 20. A Bel Air, Maryland, man was reported to be walking on East Wyandot Avenue the night of Aug. 20.

Safety Blotter: September 21, 2016

Anthony M. Bucher, Napoleon, was cited for window tint and warned for unsafe vehicle and insufficient exhaust at the Ohio 53 and Ohio 67 north split early the morning of Aug. 20. Arthur L. Wilson, Upper Sandusky, was warned for insufficient exhaust at the intersection of West Johnson and Summit streets early the morning of Aug. 20.

Safety Blotter: September 13, 2016

An accident at the intersection of West Finley Street and North Hazel Street involving a school bus and pickup truck was reported the afternoon of Aug. 18. Lisa A. Kin, McCutchenville, and Jerry L. Randall, Upper Sandusky, were listed as the drivers.

Police handle incidents in Upper

An Upper Sandusky man reported a possible drunk driver in the 1700 block of East Wyandot Avenue the night of Aug. 13. An Upper Sandusky man reported a man passed out on the sidewalk in the 100 block of North Sandusky Avenue early the morning of Aug. 14.

Safety Blotter: September 10, 2016

Jose L. Martinez, Houston, Texas, was arrested for driving without a valid license the afternoon of Aug. 10 after a traffic stop at North Eighth and Finley streets. He also was cited for no brake light. Kristy M. Patten, Upper Sandusky, was arrested the afternoon of Aug. 10 on a warrant on indictment for theft of a credit card following a meeting of the Wyandot County Grand Jury.

Safety Blotter: September 9, 2016

The sheriff’s office, Wyandot East Fire Department and emergency medical services personnel responded to a structure fire at 406 N. Goodbread St., Nevada, the afternoon of Aug. 9. A chicken coop and a small storage shed were destroyed in the flames.
