A suspicious man was reported walking around the outside of Wyandot Memorial Hospital the morning of May 26. The man explained he got into an argument with his girlfriend, and instead of fighting with her, he packed his things and was waiting for a friend to pick him up. The friend arrived while the officer was on scene, and the man left the scene.

A Carey woman met a deputy at the Upper Sandusky Police Department the morning of May 26 to ask if someone could respond to a domestic violence incident.

A deputy was dispatched to the Ohio 53 overpass at U.S. 23 for a possible accident the morning of May 25. While on scene, the officer noticed two vehicles were present but only one was involved in an accident. The accident occurred earlier in Tiffin and already had been reported.

Damond E. Hairston Jr., Columbus, was arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on U.S. 23 the evening of May 22. Hairston was cited for speed, driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana.

Michael J. Valentine, Houghton Lake, Michigan, was cited for expired registration and fictitious registration the night of May 23 after a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 23 and Ohio 53.

Police responded to a domestic violence call in the 400 block of North Sandusky Avenue the night of May 21. A man reportedly punched his father when the father and mother returned home and asked the adult son’s friends to leave.

An Upper Sandusky man reported smoke was coming from the city compost pile the night of May 21. The officer on site could not tell if it was smoke or steam.

A dispute between neighbors occurred on West Wyandot Avenue the afternoon May 20 after a resident complained about a neighbor’s children being in his yard and causing noise at night. Both individuals were warned for disorderly conduct.

Matthew S. Mattix, Marion, was cited with operating a vehicle intoxicated, driving under suspension, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and wrongful entrustment after a crash in the early morning of May 7 on TH 67 in Marseilles Township.

Upper Sandusky Police Department A dispute between children was reported at the softball field at South Warpole and Hicks streets the evening of May 12.
