Abdullahi M. Aagane, Columbus, was cited for failure to control the morning of April 3. He was traveling eastbound on Ohio 15 near mile post 3 when he lost control of his vehicle, went off the left side of the roadway and came to rest in the median.

Ritz names ‘Bad Seed’ cast

TIFFIN — The cast and crew for the Ritz Theatre’s production of “Bad Seed” has been announced. The cast includes (from Tiffin unless noted) Kennedy Lachner as Rhoda Penmark; Cory Lachner as Col. Kenneth Penmard; Elecia Delgado as Christine Penmark; Katharyn Buckinghamm, of McComb, as Monica Breedlove; Jim Cook, of Sycamore, as Emery Wages; Bob Derby, of Bloomville, as Leray; Sandy Kimmel as Miss Fern; Jennifer Paynes as Mrs. Daigle; and Norm Gibrat, of Fostoria, as Richard Bravo.

Texas Tenors to do Tiffin show

TIFFIN — The Texas Tenors will perform at the Ritz Theatre, 30 S. Washington St., Tiffin, at 7:30 p.m. Friday. With their Emmy Award winning PBS special now airing across the country, and Billboard chart-topping albums, The Texas Tenors are one of America's favorite new tenors.

Westbrook gives to hospice

Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care recently donated $2,229 to Hospice of Wyandot County from proceeds from its accessory bingo event last week at the Sycamore Community Center. More than 150 people attended the event, Westbrook marketing director Brittiny Leeth said.

Safety blotter: April 14, 2016

Rickey T. Perrin, Findlay, was arrested in Lucas County on two bench warrants out of Upper Sandusky Municipal Court and transported back to the Wyandot County Jail. The first warrant was for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana and the second warrant was for driving under a non-compliance suspension, insufficient exhaust, driving under an FRA suspension and a safety belt violation.

Sycamore man to role in church arson

A Sycamore man admitted to helping a friend start a fire last fall at the building that was the home of the former Smithville United Methodist Church. Nevada L. Frost, 20, pleaded guilty to complicity to arson, a fourth-degree felony, on Tuesday in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court for his role in starting the fire at the former church on Ohio 67 at CH 42.
