Three vehicles involved in fatal crash in Marion County MARION — The Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a three-vehicle fatal crash that occurred at about 7 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Ohio 309 and CR 162 in Marion County’s Marion Township. According to a press release from the patrol, Lindsay D. Hempy, 24, of Marion, was traveling southbound on CR 162 in a 2015 Hyundai Elantra when she failed to yield at a stop sign, pulling into the path of a 2008 Dodge Ram driven by Robert L. New steeple installed at Kirby chapel KIRBY — The steeple atop Transfiguration of the Lord’s St. Mary Chapel in Kirby was replaced Friday morning, with a local contractor completing the job after masonry work previously done. Contractor Jason Yeater and his team replaced the steeple at the Catholic chapel that was damaged in the March 28 windstorm that knocked out power for days and closed several roads in Wyandot County.
