First Baptist Church of Upper Sandusky, located at 590 Houpt Drive, will be holding the First Baptist Fireworks Festival from 6-9 p.m. Saturday prior to the city’s fireworks display.

FOREST — The 2016 Tree Town Festival invites everyone to “rediscover Forest” by attending the event July 8-10 at Gormley Park, located on Mary Street.

TIFFIN — The Ritz Players have announced the cast for “Into the Woods,” to be staged at 7:30 p.m. July 15, 16 and 23 and 2 p.m. July 24 at the Ritz Theatre, 30 S. Washington St., Tiffin.

CAREY — Since 1950, the only credit union in Wyandot County has served only one community within the area. But a recent change is allowing it to expand.

CAREY — Officials from throughout Wyandot County heard from Amber Wertman, executive director of United Way of Marion and Wyandot counties, during a recent mayor’s breakfast at Splinter’s Cafe in Carey. The breakfast had been organized by the late Carey mayor, Steven Smalley, before Smalley died June 17.

The Upper Sandusky Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the Wyandot County Fair Business Showcase. Tables are available for $25 for Chamber members or $35 for non-Chamber members.

CAREY — Vendors now may reserve a spot for the annual Carey Business Showcase, organized by the Carey Area Chamber of Commerce. The event will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Waterworks Park main pavilion.

The Upper Sandusky Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual steak fry Aug. 10 in conjunction with Wyandot Mutual Insurance Co. The location of the event has changed.

FINDLAY — The Hardin Hancock Wyandot Putnam Community Action Commission’s HEAP 2016 summer crisis program will begin Friday and continue through Aug. 31, or until funding is fully exhausted. The program can provide a payment of as much as $300 toward a regulated or as much as $500 toward an unregulated electric bill, a window air conditioner and/or a box fan or tower oscillating electric fan.
