Carey pool rates and hours set

CAREY — Carey Council approved a motion setting rates and hours for the community swimming pool during a regular meeting Monday. Single passes for students in the Carey school district are $45, up from $36 last year.

Bid accepted for 2016 city paving project

A Tiffin company has been selected to complete the city of Upper Sandusky’s 2016 paving project with a bid nearly half of the original estimate. M and B Asphalt, of 1525 CR 42, submitted the winning bid on the city’s paving projects, which will include Houpt Drive from North Eighth Street to Sandusky Avenue, North Hazel Street from Walker Street to Church Street, West Spring Street from Eighth Street to Sandusky Avenue and West Walker Street from Warpole Avenue to Hazel Street.

Cases tried in municipal court

Garrett D. Bays, McClure, charged by the sheriff with petty theft and two counts of criminal trespassing; and by Carey police with petty theft, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, disposition hearing held, found guilty.
