Individuals with memory conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and dementia are breaking free in a new program that pairs volunteers from the community with Fairhaven residents. A five-week pilot for Opening Minds through Art, an intergenerational, award-winning art program developed by Scripps Gerontology Center at Miami University, has wrapped up with positive results for all involved, said the Rev. Becky King, chaplain at Fairhaven Community and one of two facilitators for the program locally.

A Tiffin woman pleaded guilty to a single charge of burglary Thursday afternoon in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court. Kendra M. Rochester, 30, appeared with her attorney, Ben Buckland, and three family members who did not address the court.
