Construction began Thursday on the Wyandot County Infirmary Cemetery Memorial at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. WCHD releases June vital statistics report

Jane M. Shrider, registrar of vital statistics at the Wyandot County Health Department, reports there were nine births and 14 deaths in the county during June. Births include seven females and two males; deaths include four females and 10 males. Forty-five certified birth and 38 certified death certificates were issued. Twenty-four burial permits were issued.

The Upper Sandusky Community Library, in coordination with Edward Jones, announced the winners of its summer coloring contest on Wednesday. The winners were: Pre-K, Aleah Mueller; kindergarten, McKenna Daniel; first grade, Jenna Irwin; second grade, Aniela Mueller; third grade, Erin Ritchey, fourth grade, Ardyn North and fifth grade, Madelyn Coughlyn.

USPD dedicates bench to K-9 Hunter

Remembering a partner

Upper Sandusky residents, city officials and area law enforcement held a dedication ceremony for K-9 Hunter on Tuesday inside the Upper Sandusky Fire Station. K-9 Hunter served the Upper Sandusky Police Department from 2010 until retiring in 2017 due to health complications. Hunter died on April 24.
