The Wharton First Church of God hosting its sixth annual Back to School Blitz event on Sunday. Students K-12 were offered free school supplies, haircuts, a petting zoo, inflatables, train rides, food, prizes, carnival games, face painting and a dunk tank.

Safety blotter: August 12, 2019

An officer on patrol observed two possible subjects riding a hoverboard on North Warpole Street near West. Wyandot Avenue the early morning of Aug. 9. Both subjects were advised of a city ordinance prohibiting riding in the street. An officer gave an Upper Sandusky man a ride home from the Wyandot Memorial Hospital emergency room the early morning of Aug. 9.

Rallying for a cause

Representatives from several participating businesses from the third annual South Sandusky Block Rally gathered Thursday morning at the Wyandot County Courthouse to present a $2,500 check to the non-profit No One Fights Alone.
