A Mount Blanchard man received a 7-year sentence for his role in an overdose death of an Upper Sandusky man. Nathan Zofcin, 41, received a mandatory prison sentence of 7 years with the Ohio Department of Corrections Wednesday in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court in the heroin overdose death of Heath Bulkowski, 26, of Upper Sandusky, on July 6, 2016.

A Carey man who hid with two juveniles for a month in an abandoned Upper Sandusky home was sentenced to more than 4 years in prison Wednesday. Dylan Kincade, 19, of Carey, pleaded guilty Wednesday morning to three counts of sexual conduct with a minor and to breaking and entering, and was found guilty by the court.

Jane M. Shrider, registrar of vital statistics at the Wyandot County Health Department, reports there were five births and 15 deaths in the county during September. Births include five females; deaths include seven females and eight males. Fifty-one certified birth and 55 certified death certificates were issued. Seventeen burial permits were issued.
