Wharton class of ’58 meets for reunion

WHARTON — The Wharton High School class of 1958 recently met for its annual reunion at the residence of Janet Pickett. The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Nov. 12 and is correct as of that date: Pets reported as missing since the previous report that have not been found include a yellow and white neutered male cat, a brindle color female cat, a cream color male chihuahua, a white and black male Jack Russell terrier, a tri-color male Walker hound, a gray and white neutered male cat that is declawed and a black neutered male cat.

OLC bakery plans holiday season sale

CAREY — The Our Lady of Consolation National Shrine volunteer bakery is preparing for the holidays and will offer seasonal items when it hosts a sale Saturday and Sunday. The bakery, under the direction of the Rev. Paul Faroh, has been preparing sesame-topped dinner rolls and pumpkin pie for the Thanksgiving table.

SYCAMORE — The 57th annual Sycamore Village and Sycamore 1 Fund Drive is off and running and has reached the mid-point mark. Established in 1958, the Sycamore Village and Sycamore Township 1 Fund Drive is a time-honored investment in the community and its residents, according to a press release from committee member Kim Mohr.
