Frederick and Connie (Denney) Gillen will celebrate their 50th anniversary March 31, 2017. They were united in marriage at First Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky by the Rev. Charles Steward.

TIFFIN — The Harmony Easter Cantata Choir’s annual musical presentation will be at 7:30 p.m. April 7 at the church at the corner of CR 6 and CR 19, 4 miles south of Tiffin. The church is handicapped-accessible.

CRESTLINE — Crawford Park District will host a nature exploration program for preschool-age children and their parents at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 Ohio 598. Morning and afternoon programs will be similar.

Kindergarten registration now is open to all residents of Upper Sandusky Exempted Village Schools. Children who will be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1 are required by law to register and be screened.

TIFFIN — The Seneca County Retired Teachers Association will reward a monetary grant to a high school senior residing in Seneca County who plans to pursue a career in the education field. The application deadline is April 11.

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Monday and is correct as of that date. Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a yellow and white female cat, two yellow cats, a male walker hound and a spayed female yellow lab.

The Home Energy Assistance Program Winter Crisis Program that began in November is scheduled to end March 31. The Winter Crisis Program provides financial assistance, one time per heating season, to income-eligible households that are threatened with disconnection of their heating source, have service already disconnected, need to establish new service or transfer service, or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel.

The annual Lenten lunches for Wyandot County women are from 12-1 p.m. Wednesdays at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 318 W. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky. A $4 donation is suggested.
