USHS alumni give back

The Upper Sandusky High School Alumni Society recently donated $1,000 to the Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District Academic Boosters, which provide academic awards and letters, tutoring, snacks, scholarships and more for students.

Fish fry coming up in Forest

FOREST — Forest Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion will host a fish fry from 5-7 p.m. Friday at 204 W. Lima St., across from the Forest village offices. The groups are adding more than 40 pounds of fish after running out of fish during the previous two fries.

Thursday last day for free tax preparation in Wyandot Co.

Thursday is the last day AARP Tax-Aide will offer free tax preparation through a joint effort with the Wyandot County Council on Aging and Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church. Volunteers have been e-file federal, state and school tax returns at no cost at the church on Malabar Drive each Thursday and Friday since Feb. 2.

Lonsway, Britton announce engagement

Tracey Lonsway and Dylan Britton, both of Upper Sandusky, recently announced their engagement and upcoming wedding. The bride-to-be is a daughter of Rod Lonsway, McCutchenville, and Jean Lonsway, Carey. Her fiancé is a son of Scott and Jenny Britton, Upper Sandusky.

Partriotic tunes

The Carey High School choir belts out patriotic tunes for veterans at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

Support groups available

TIFFIN — The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties, 1200 N. Ohio 53, Tiffin, will offer a grief and loss support group for people coping with the loss of a loved one due to addiction or suicide.
