Megan and Jeff Gery of Carey are the parents of a girl, Lauren Anne. She was born at 12:25 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. She weighed 5 pounds, 12.1 ounces and was 18.25 inches long. The maternal grandparents are Jeff and Pat Newman, Upper Sandusky. The paternal grandparents are Jim and Vivian Gery, Carey.

May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, and as more people take to the roads on bikes, the potential for motorcycle accidents will be on the rise. This is why the Wyandot County Safe Community Coalition is taking this opportunity to remind you to “share the road” this summer.

FOREST — Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion will host a fish fry from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the VFW Hall, 204 W. Lima St., Forest. It is the last fish fry until October. Proceeds go to scholarships for Riverdale students.

Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a male black husky, a female white husky, a tiger kitten, a tiger and white kitten, a color-point kitten, a long-haired male tiger cat, a spayed female tiger and white cat, a female blue heeler with an orange collar, a white neutered male cat, a black and white male cat, a tan female Lab and a black male Lab-pit bull.
