KENTON — Celebrate Independence Day with an evening of gospel music Monday at the Hardin County Fairgrounds. One Voice, Purpose Driven, Singing Crowes and 441 Quartet will perform beginning at 5 p.m. behind the horse barn.

CRESTLINE — Lowe Volk Park Nature Center will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 4. Normal hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday during the months of June through August, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

HHWP Community Action Commission’s HEAP 2017 Summer Crisis Program begins today and continues through Aug. 31 or until funding and/or equipment is fully exhausted. This program may provide a payment up to $300 toward a regulated or up to $500 toward an unregulated electric bill and/or a window air conditioner and/or a tower oscillating electric fan.

Merle and Anna (Barber) Goodman celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Saturday during an event catered and hosted by Cheers 2 U. The event was in the banquet room at the Upper Sandusky restaurant.

BUCYRUS — Nevada Alumni Association recently hosted its annual banquet at Wynford High school, with 65 alumni, faculty and guests in attendance. Forty-four were Nevada High School graduates.

Senior citizens age 60 and older may register now for Wyandot County Council on Aging’s annual summer picnic from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 7 at Ellis Lake, 7430 TH 124, Upper Sandusky. There will be horse shoes, cornhole, nature walks, a euchre tournament, board games, live music and an ice cream truck.
