UF speaker to address privacy in 21st century

FINDLAY — Nominated as the 2016-2017 Wilkin chairman, Dr. Paul Chwialkowski will be the first presenter for the University of Findlay’s College of Liberal Arts’ Wilkin Chair Events. Chwialkowski will speak from 8-9 p.m. Wednesday in Winebrenner Theological Seminary.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Historical Society will share some of its collection of hundreds of vintage pictures from the Sycamore Community Pool at 7 p.m. Thursday at the shelter house at Veterans Memorial Park. The groundbreaking ceremony for the Sycamore community swimming pool took place June 13, 1966, according to the historical society.

Garden club to host flower show

Flower show

BUCYRUS — The Earth, Wind and Flowers Garden Club of Bucyrus will host a flower show Sept. 24-25 with the theme “All Aboard.” The club will use the Toledo and Ohio Central train depot to stage classes of fresh flower arrangements and horticulture grown by its members and the Peas-in-a-Pod junior gardeners.
