Wharton High School class of 1958 gathers

WHARTON — Members of the Wharton High School class of 1958 recently attended a reunion at the residence of Jane Pickett. Those in attendance at the 58th year class reunion were Bill Murray, Temperance, Michigan; Betty Joyce (Kear) and Vaughn Collins, Kenton; Ann (Doersam) Bell and Bill and Helen Rose, of Arlington; Jane (Beidelschies), Arden Mittermaier and Barbara (Wentz) and Bob Batton, all of Upper Sandusky; Janet (Lee) Pickett, Mount Blanchard; Geraldine (Opper) and Roger Knoll and Naneen (Bristoll) and Tom Kotterman, of Wharton; and Don Duff, Kent.

Vivian Jo Hartschuh

Emily and Brian Hartschuh, Bloomville, are the parents of a girl, Vivian Jo Hartschuh. She was born at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20 inches long. The maternal grandparents are Tim and Barb Christian, New Washington. The paternal grandparents are Allen and Diane Hartschuh, Bloomville.

Peyton Elizabeth Milum

Johna Kay and Nathan Milum, Bucyrus, are the parents of a girl, Peyton Elizabeth Milum. She was born at 12:26 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. The maternal grandmother is Sandra Swartz, Attica. The paternal grandparents are Kevin and Kelly Milum, Nevada.

Claire Alaine Nickles

Audrey and Kyle Nickles, Sycamore, are the parents of a girl. Claire Alaine Nickles was born at 2:48 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

Blood drives set Nov. 25, 26

This November, the American Red Cross encourages eligible donors to give the perfect gift — a blood donation — to help ensure a sufficient blood supply throughout the holiday season. Two blood drives are scheduled in Wyandot County.

National Survivors of Suicide Day

Survivors of Suicide Day is a day in which people affected by suicide gather with their friends and family to find comfort and healing and gain understanding as they share their stories of pain, grief, and hope. This day always falls on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Thursday and is correct as of that date: Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include A black and white male long hair Chihuahua, a neutered male brindle color mastiff-St. Bernard, a black neutered male retriever, a cream color ferret, a male blue heeler, a neutered male tan corgi-pit bull mix and a spayed female tiger-calico cat.
