Abby and Johnathon Searfoss of Upper Sandusky are the parents of a boy, Henry John Searfoss. He was born at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.

Courtney N. Stowe and Joshua L. Weatherholtz, both of Upper Sandusky, are the parents of a boy, Preston Xavier Weatherholtz. He was born at 3:40 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

Tayler Cazares and Dermot Garza, both of Upper Sandusky, are the parents of a girl, Amelia Rose Garza. She was born at 7:48 a.m. Monday, Sept. 4, 2017 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. She weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

Lutheran church members helped spruce up the Wyandot County Museum on Saturday as part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s annual “God’s Work, Our Hands” community service initiative.

WHARTON — Open Door Resource Center and Wyandot County BRIDGES Out of Poverty Action Committee will host Free Produce Fridays on Sept. 15 and Oct. 13. The first session was Aug. 18.

The Wyandot County Prostate Cancer Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 19 for an open forum on topics of interest to those in attendance. The meeting will be held in the Bowman and Kirkland Conference Rooms on the lower level of Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

Upper Sandusky Community Library has two book clubs for community members who like to gather and discuss their love of books. The Common Readers book discussion group meets at 7 p.m. Sept. 19 at the library.

Tickets for a free lunch during Senior Day at the Wyandot County Fair are available now at Senior Connection, 124 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky. Senior Day at the fair is Sept. 14.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk School is collecting money to pay for academic supplies for victims of Hurricane Harvey living in Houston, where 2008 Mohawk graduate Anna Gilliland is a teacher. Donations will be accepted for the Two Zip Codes, One Purpose campaign at the school and varsity games this week.
