Blood drive short of its goal

The American Red Cross recently held a blood drive at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky. A goal of 33 donors was not met. Volunteers for the drive were Judy Frey, Helen Pool, Donna Young, Sandy Preston, Donna Kimmel, Mary Ekleberry, Ruby Trautwein, Jean Byrd, Leah Giacalone, Rose Marie Amos and Marcina Mason.

Men’s breakfast set in Bucyrus

BUCYRUS — Hans Scherner, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sulphur Springs, will be the guest speaker for the Interdenominational Men’s Breakfast at 7 a.m. Feb. 14 at the Bucyrus Community Hospital cafeteria. Scherner also is a licensed attorney with Scherner & Hanson LLC Law Firm in Columbus.

Valentine tea set Saturday in Tiffin

TIFFIN — The Tiffin Historic Trust “Be My Valentine Tea” is 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Grammes-Brown House, 172 Jefferson St., Tiffin. Gene Chintala, associate professor of political science at Tiffin University, will give the program on the history of Valentines.

Sycamore library showing movie

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Community, 200 S. Sycamore Ave., Sycamore, library will hold a movie night featuring “Woody Woodpecker” at 7 p.m. Friday. Free popcorn and drinks will be provided.

Women’s lenten luncheons slated

Lenten Luncheons for Wyandot County Women will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Feb. 14, 21 and 28 as well as on March 7, 14 and 21 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky. On Valentine’s Day, the event host will be Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church, the menu is soup and salad and the speaker is Rita Stewart.
