FINDLAY — Blanchard Valley Hospital will host “Eliminate Acid Reflux, Heartburn and GERD,” part of the “Live and Learn” series, to educate the community about ways to remove acid reflux, heartburn and GERD through the new LINX procedure from 6-7 p.m. Aug. 28 in the Marathon Auditorium of BVH.

CAREY — A back-to-school fun day for preschool through fifth-grade students is 1 p.m. Thursday in the children’s department at the Dorcas Carey Public Library. There will be bingo, crafts and snacks.

Larry Joe and Bonnie (McColly) Ratliff, of Upper Sandusky, celebrated their 50th anniversary with a trip to Tennessee. They were married July 12, 1968, at Little Sandusky Bible Church, Little Sandusky.

MARION — The Marion Popcorn Festival has announced contests for the Teen, Ms. and Miss pageants to be held at 7 p.m. Saturday. Doors open at 6 p.m. Adult admission is $10. Admission for those 12 and younger is $5.

The Orlando Hensel family recently gathered in the basement of Harpster United Methodist Church with 38 members in attendance. The doxology was sung by all. Michael Hensel lead the business meeting following a potluck lunch.
